Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Aatelier LLC ("Aatelier", "we", "us") handles information in connection with our website at aatelierllc.com and the mobile apps we publish on Google Play and other app stores (together, the "Services"). It applies to every app we publish unless that app's store listing links to its own policy.
The short version
Our apps do not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email address or other directly identifying information, and we do not sell your personal information. Some apps, including Brushberry, use Google's AdMob to show ads and Google's Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used. Where an app does this, the section for that app below explains exactly what is involved. Our website uses no tracking cookies.
Information we collect
- Apps: Our apps do not collect personal or sensitive information such as your name, contact details, location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data. Anything you create in an app, such as a colored picture, stays on your device. Some apps use Google services for ads and basic usage statistics; see "Brushberry" below for what that involves. If a future app or update changes this, we will update this policy and the app's Google Play Data safety section before release.
- Website: Our website is a static site. We do not use cookies for tracking and do not ask you to submit personal information. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process standard technical data such as IP address and browser type in server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- Contacting us: If you message us (for example through Instagram or by email), we receive the information you choose to send and use it only to reply.
How we use information
We use information you send us only to respond to you. We do not use it for advertising, profiling or any unrelated purpose.
Usage statistics from our apps (described below) are used only to understand which features are used and to fix problems.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. The only parties that touch data in connection with the Services are service providers that operate on our behalf: Cloudflare (website hosting and delivery), Google Fonts (font files loaded by the website, which receive your IP address as part of the request), the app stores (Google Play and the Apple App Store), which handle downloads and payments under their own privacy policies, and, for apps that use them, Google (Firebase Analytics and AdMob), which process limited technical data as described below. We may disclose information if required by law.
Brushberry (children's coloring app)
Brushberry is designed for children. It has no account, no sign-up, no chat, and no way to share anything.
- What stays on the device: The pictures your child colors and the stickers they collect are stored only on your device. We never receive them. Uninstalling the app removes them.
- Usage statistics (Google Firebase Analytics): To learn which pictures are popular and to find problems, the app sends a small number of anonymous events to Google Firebase Analytics: which screen was opened, which picture page was opened and its category (for example "Cat" in "Pets"), and when a sticker is added. Firebase also receives standard technical data automatically, such as a random app-instance identifier, device model, operating system and app version, language, and an approximate country or region derived from the IP address. This data is not linked to a name, email address or account, and we do not use it to identify any child. We turn off the collection of advertising identifiers in the app's analytics.
- Ads (Google AdMob): Brushberry shows a banner ad at the bottom of the screen, delivered by Google AdMob. Because the app is for children, ads are set to child-directed treatment, limited to content rated G (suitable for all audiences), and non-personalized. This means ads are not tailored to a child's interests and are not based on past behavior. To deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's ad software may process technical data such as IP address, device and app information, and whether an ad was shown or tapped. The app does not use the advertising ID (Android) or the advertising identifier (iOS). Ads may link out of the app, and we do not control the destination.
- Permissions: The app uses internet access (for ads and usage statistics) and vibration. It does not ask for location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or storage access.
- Your choices: The app works offline. You can stop all online activity by using airplane mode or by turning off the app's network access in your device settings.
- Google's policies: Google's use of data is described at policies.google.com/privacy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Third-party links
The website links to our Instagram accounts (@aatelier.creations and @aatelier.celebrations). Instagram is operated by Meta and has its own privacy policy; we do not control it.
Data retention and security
Because our apps do not collect personal data, we hold none to retain or delete. Usage statistics and ad data are held by Google under its own retention settings and are not linked to a person. Messages sent to us are kept only as long as needed to respond. Website traffic is served over HTTPS.
Children's privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Our children's apps, including Brushberry, are configured in line with the Google Play Families Policy and children's privacy laws such as COPPA: ads are child-directed and non-personalized, and advertising identifiers are not used. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. Parents can contact us at any time to ask about, or request deletion of, any information they believe we hold about their child.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. Contact us to make a request and we will respond promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date above.
